Cast Iron Guitar

Early 20th Century
Under silver radiator paint. Fret board with inset
copper frets and three circular mother-of-pearl inlays.
Although the instrument appears like it was made to
be playable, our opinion is it was used as a trade
sign for a music store or pub. Length 37″ x 14″w x 4″d
Provenance: The Morgan Rank Collection of Folk Art and Musical Instruments.
